Metamorphosis is a multimedia installation I did in collaboration with Nick Colecchia. The goal of the project is to transfer and develop the essence of Metamorphosis captured in the initial painting through different media

First, I created the middle piece of the paintings. In a second step, Nick improvised with his drums and spoken word inspired by my painting. We then created the sound together and divided it into three parts: Vibrating silence, the lyrics forever, and heartbeat.

Each of us created a poem and we wrote Part 3 together.

Finally, we created a video. The video was shot by Andrew Morales and edited mostly by me and Andrew Morales in the presence of Nick.

Metamorphosis characterizes the process of change within us. We are influenced by our current environment and the traces other people left within ourselves.

We hope that every person is able to connect their personal Metamorphosis to our installation.

The installation is currently on display at the store next to the 116th station in Rockaway.

It is part of the effort to bring art into the public space, back into the daily life of people.
